“The monument, built on an area of approximately 7 kanals and 11 marlas, attracts a large number of visitors. Each corner of Chor Gumbad has a square chamber crowned with four minarets. It has a raised dome and an open veranda, giving it the appearance of a two-storey structure. The monument has 20 arched doorways and three main entrances. The restoration work of the historical site has been carried out at a cost of approximately Rs 103.78 lakh,” said a district administration official.

During his address, Sharma stated that the state government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, was serious about the preservation and promotion of historical monuments across the state. He emphasised that the Department of Archaeology and Museums is committed to protecting Haryana’s rich heritage and promoting it on a larger platform. The minister added that continuous efforts are being made to bring the historic sites of Mahendragarh district into global focus. He expressed confidence that the district will soon emerge as a major tourism hub.
