A government spokesperson shared that citizens would be administered an oath to exercise their voting rights. National Voters’ Day, observed annually on January 25, is aimed to raise awareness about the importance of voting and encourage all eligible citizens to register as voters.

The celebration will include activities from the polling station to the state level, organised in collaboration with various government and non-government agencies. Students from schools and colleges will participate in rangoli-making, essay writing, elocution, rallies, street plays and other events designed to promote electoral participation.
