The local administration, police as well as residents welfare associations have intensified efforts to manage traffic and security. All organisers have been asked to make parking arrangements, while the administration has also issued a list of water bodies for ‘visarjan’.

“We are holding grand events at DLF clubs — featuring a range of traditional rituals such as Agomoni, Dhunuchi Naach, and Sindoor Khela. We will also be staging Ramleela and Dandiya night, along with live food counters. Our Durga Puja celebrations are about building communities, engaging socially and celebrating culture in a way that strengthens relationships within the city,” Said Ritu Joshi, the head of Premium and National Clubs at DLF.

Gurugram Deputy Commissioner Nishant Yadav said the administration was making all efforts to ensure a hassle-free festive experience and had also put up special SOPs for the same.

He added that the RWAs and clubs setting up pandals and hosting community events would be responsible for parking, ensuring fire safety and security on the spot.

“We have designated places for visarjan and the traffic police will ensure there is no chaos during any festive procession. Besides, the use of fire crackers has been banned and four special teams have been put in place to keep a vigil,” said Yadav.
