NCC cadets administer polio drops
Karnal: NCC Air Wing cadets at Pt Chiranji Lal Sharma Government College, Sector 14, Karnal, participated in the three-day ‘Pulse Polio’ campaign run by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare across the country. The cadets, along with Health Department officials, administered polio drops to children up to 5 years of age at different polio booths in the district. Nearly 40 NCC Air-Wing cadets participated in the campaign.
Lecture on entrepreneurship
Kurukshetra: A lecture on ‘Successful Entrepreneur: Qualities and Characteristics’ was organised under the joint aegis of the career guidance cell and entrepreneurship development cell at Indira Gandhi National College, Ladwa. Rahul Sharma from JMIT, Radaur, was invited to speak on the topic. College principal Kushal Pal motivated students on entrepreneurship, saying that the aim should be to provide jobs to others and not just be job-seekers. He encouraged the students to choose their profession on the basis of their talent and education level.
Women’s Day celebrated
Rohtak: Women’s Day was celebrated on the premises of Vaish College of Education, Rohtak. Women entrepreneurs Nancy, Ashima, Jyoti Gupta, Parul, Yashika, Harshita and Ranjana, who run cottage industries or small-scale business from their homes, were felicitated by college principal Taruna Malhotra and women cell coordinator Jyoti Ahuja.
