The NCC Cycle Expedition, themed "Bharat Ke Veer: Ek Shaurya Gatha", arrived at Ambala Cantonment on Wednesday.

The 710-km expedition from Hussainiwala to New Delhi, undertaken by NCC cadets of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, and Chandigarh NCC Directorate, will culminate in New Delhi to coincide with the Prime Minister's Rally as part of Republic Day Celebration 2025. It aims to foster the spirit of national integration, adventure and patriotism amongst NCC cadets and citizens.

As per the information, the expedition started on January 7 and will conclude on January 20. A total of 25 participants, including 12 NCC cadets, are part of the rally. The event is dedicated to the historical warriors, freedom fighters and bravehearts of the post-Independence battles. The participating cadets will pay obeisance to various memorials enroute, highlighting national pride and unity.

Brig Vikas Rai Shandiliya, Group Commander NCC Group Ambala Cantonment, flagged in the rally, praising the cadets' initiative and respect for the nation's past. The team paid tribute to Maj Dhan Singh Thapa, PVC, and visited Ambala's 1857 War Memorial, paying tributes to freedom fighters.

The expedition will resume its journey to New Delhi on Thursday, after being flagged off by Brig Saikat Roy, Station Commander Ambala and make a stop at Brahma Sarovar in Kurukshetra.
