Karnal: As many as 827 cadets from various colleges of Karnal, Ambala, Kurukshetra, Jind and Sonepat appeared for the ‘C’ certificate exam held by the 7 Haryana Battalion NCC Karnal. The whole process was conducted under the supervision of Brigadier VR Shandilya, group commander, 7 Haryana Battalion NCC Karnal, commanding officer Col Naresh Arya and others at the Kunjpura Sainik School. Col Arya said the candidates took practical exam on drilling, weapons, map reading and compass usage.

Students of Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology won two awards at the Red Cross training camp.

Hisar: Students of Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar, won two awards in the state-level Youth Red Cross training camp. Congratulating the students, university Vice-Chancellor Prof Narsi Ram Bishnoi said the winners had made the university proud by performing excellently in the camp. The awards received by the students reflect the dedicated participation of the students during the camp organised in Haridwar, Uttrakhand, he added. The winning students include Ruchika, Dipanshi Goyal, Kaushal and Sumita.

School holds Annual sports meet

Panipat: Mothers Pride School organised its annual sports meet at the Shivaji Stadium on Saturday. Panipat SP Ajit Singh Shekhawat hoisted the flag as a chief guest of the programme. School chairperson Aaina Ganotra, branch head Lavika Kakkar and academic head Navjot Kaur were also present during the event. Special events in yoga, taekwondo and cultural dance by students of pre-nursery, nursery and prep classes were the centre of attraction during the meet.
