NCW seeks report on Gurugram hospital rape

The National Commission for Women (NCW) has taken cognizance of a patient’s allegations of being raped while on a ventilator in a private hospital in Gurugram.

According to statement issued by the commission, it has come across a media report of alleged rape of a 21-year-old patient while she was on ventilator support in the ICU of a private hospital in Gurugram.

The commission has also sought a detailed action taken report in the matter from the police. The hospital administration has also been directed to send an action taken report in the matter. Meanwhile, the police said the probe was on and they were waiting for the statement of the victim.
