Need to manage groundwater level in Gurugram

Chandigarh, January 18

The chairperson of the Haryana Water Resources Authority, Keshni Anand Arora, said there was a need to implement an action plan for management of waste water and increasing groundwater level in Gurugram.

Arora was presiding over a meeting organised on the water plan of Gurugram through video conferencing today. She said keeping in mind the future of the coming generations, there was a need to make serious efforts towards utilising the waste water.

“Special focus should be given for water harvesting here. A concrete strategy will have to be adopted regarding the depleting groundwater level and water harvesting in the district,” she said.
