New PWD rest house to be constructed in Ladwa: CM

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said a three-storey rest house equipped with modern facilities will be built in Ladwa.

While holding a review meeting with officials regarding the development works of Ladwa on Sunday, the CM directed the PWD (B&R) officials to start the project at the earliest. A budget of Rs 16 crore will be spent on this project.

The CM spoke about various development works related to streets, roads, drinking water, sewerage, community health centres, chaupals being  carried out in the rural and urban areas at a rapid pace while the pending works would begin soon. Projects worth crores of rupees had been sanctioned for the Ladwa Assembly constituency.

For the rest house project, the PWD officials were directed to construct a new rest house equipped with modern facilities adjoining the existing old rest house of the PWD in Ladwa.

The CM said the new rest house would be three storeyed, in which seven rooms, including the CM suite would be constructed. Apart from this, a conference room equipped with modern facilities with a capacity of 70 persons would also be constructed in the rest house. Along with the dining hall, other facilities would also be made available in the rest house. Orders have been given to the Public Works Department officials to start the construction work soon. The officials have been directed to get the drawing prepared at the earliest and complete the other formalities and also start the tender process.

The Chief Minister said the orders were given to install fancy lights in Ladwa city from Ambedkar Chowk to the municipal limits towards Kurukshetra. An amount of Rs 1.09 crore will be spent on the project. Along with this, 16 other development projects will be started in the city soon. A budget of Rs 4.96 crore has been passed by the government for these development works.

He said along with completing these development works within the stipulated time frame, special focus would also be on the quality of material used in the construction work.
