The Haryana Government has approximately spent Rs 25 crore on the revival of Hali Lake and renovation of Hali Park here. But the park is again in a bad shape. Long grass and snakes pose a threat to morning walkers here. The lake was to be filled with canal water, which is approximately 2 km away from the lake. The speed at which the water is being filled is so slow that it will take many years to completely fill it. The MC and the Haryana Government must take action and conduct a high-level probe. Sewerage, roads cry for attention

The sewerage and roads are in bad shape in Sector 13, Bhiwani. The roads are in a poor condition and the sewerage is bursting at seams. The sewers are overflowing at many points, resulting in spilling on the road. We have been raising these issues at appropriate platforms. I urge the authorities concerned to resolve the problems of Sector 13 at the earliest. Ramkishan Sharma, Bhiwani

Poor civic amenities prevail in F’bad market

Poor civic conditions prevail in markets and shopping areas of Sector 16, Faridabad, which is a prominent residential area of the city. It appears to have become a victim of the poor civic upkeep, though hundreds of crores have been spent for the development of amenities under the Smart City project and other schemes. One can witness waterlogging in the area once it rains. Filth and garbage can be seen lying around. The back or the service lane of the Sector 16 market, where dozens of workshops and vendors are stationed has become a hub of visitors with a shabby look and makes it look like that civic conditions have worsened over the years.
