NGO Hamara Pyar Hisar & civic body hold cleanliness drive
A joint cleanliness drive by the Hisar Municipal Corporation (MC) and Hamara Pyar Hisar, an NGO, was carried out on a stretch from the Dabra road and South Bypass to sectors 9-11 in the town on Sunday.
MC Joint Commissioner Preetpal Singh, councillors Jagmohan Mittal and Suman Yadav, and Chief Sanitary Inspector Rajkumar were among the participants of the drive.
During the campaign, soil was removed from both sides of the road, bushes and small keekar trees along the divider were cleared, and trees were trimmed using a tree-trimming machine. Sanitation workers cleaned the stretch, and surrounding areas.
Municipal staff and members of the NGO actively participated in the campaign.
The Joint Commissioner said such drives were conducted under the directives of Mayor Praveen Popli, and MC Commissioner Neeraj.
These drives received strong support from social and religious organisations, and area residents, he added, stating that the aim of the drive was not only to clean the area but also to spread the message of cleanliness and raise awareness about hygiene.
Hamara Pyar Hisar members Sushil Kharinta, Jitender Bansal, Ramesh Kumar, Aadesh Malik, Isha, Ekta Negi, Mandeep Poonia, SK Garg, Vijay Kadian, Rajender Gehlot, Raj Verma, Rajan Verma, Bhavika, Deepa, Yudhvir Singh, Kamal Bhatia, Harish Bhatia, Mamta Chandra, Pushpa, Anjali, Ankit Garg, Mahipal Yadav, Poorvi Yadav, Virender Singh, Soumya, Yogita and Yashvi actively participated in the drive.
