Sonepat, February 29
Harinder Singh Oberoi, Director at National Institute of Food Technology, Entrepreneurship and Management (NIFTEM), Kundli, participated in a roundtable conference held in Canada to strengthen the food industry research partnership between the institute and Saskatchewan University, Canada.
The conference was moderated by Baljit Singh, Vice-President (Research) of University of Saskatchewan and presided over by Scott Moe, Premier, Government of Saskatchewan. The subject of renewing the memorandum of understanding (MoU) between NIFTEM and the university, along with mutual areas of collaboration in the field of academic, was discussed in the conference.
The tripartite agreement on food industry between Saskatchewan University, NIFTEM-Kundli and Nestle in the field of food security, sustainable packaging and smart protein was also flagged during the meeting.
The possible collaboration between NIFTEM and WayCool Foods and Products Private Limited in the area of super foods with the export potential and health snacks was also discussed during the meeting.
