The anti-narcotic cell of the Kurukshetra police has arrested a Nigerian national in connection with the recovery of heroin in Kurukshetra.

The accused has been identified as Chukwuemeka Orji, a resident of Abia, Nigeria. He was at present living in Tilak Nagar, Delhi, West. The accused was produced before a court which sent him to a four-day police remand.

Anti-narcotic cell in-charge Surinder Pal said on August 20, a team of ANC had arrested Harpreet Singh, alias Ankush and Gurlal Singh, residents of Shahabad, near Umri Chowk on NH-44. They were in a car. During the checking, 169 grams of heroin were recovered from their possession. A case was registered at Sadar Thanesar police station under the NDPS Act. During the probe, the ANC team came to know that Orji was also arrested for supplying drugs.
