Nine heads of stray cattle caught by Yamunanagar-Jagadhri MC

Initiating a drive to make the twin cities free of stray cattle, the Yamunanagar-Jagadhri Municipal Corporation (MC) has caught nine heads of stray cattle from different areas of Yamunanagar and Jagadhri.

The stray cattle were sent to Shri Gaushala Committee, Matka Chowk, in Jagadhri and Damla Gaushala.

As per information, a team, led by Chief Sanitary Inspector Sunil Dutt, caught the cattle from various places including, the industrial area of Yamunanagar in zone-II.

Similarly, another team, led by Chief Sanitary Inspector Harjeet Singh, caught stray cattle from several places, including Ambala road in Jagadhri in zone-I, and sent them to the gaushala in Jagadhri.

Municipal Commissioner Ayush Sinha appealed to the citizens to send photos of stray cattle along with the location to the MC’s WhatsApp number, 7082410524.

He said, after receiving photos, a team of the MC would take immediate action.

Additional Municipal Commissioner Ashok Kumar exhorted people to not leave cattle in the open.

“If people want to rehome cows, they should leave them at the nearest gaushala,” Kumar said.
