Nine-month pregnant woman dies in Kaithal

A nine-month pregnant woman admitted to the Kaithal Civil Hospital with some respiratory problem on Tuesday died soon after her admission.

Not taking any chances, the hospital staff took the blood samples of the deceased and sent the same to Sonepat medical college. The body had been kept in the mortuary.

According to information, the woman, identified as Salima of Sandeel village, was carrying twins.

Earlier, the woman was admitted to Kalayat Community Health Center for delivery but following breathing problem, she was referred to Kaithal.

Meanwhile, Principal Medical Officer Dr Om Parkash said the cause of death would be known after the reports were received.
