Professor Surendra explained that the project was granted through the Development Monitoring and Evaluation Office of NITI Aayog. Under the project, he will conduct field surveys in two districts to study the welfare schemes of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Family Welfare. He will evaluate programmes such as the National Child Health Programme, National Adolescent Health Programme, Samagra Shiksha, and PM Poshan Shakti Nirman.

The study will involve questionnaires filled out by principals, teachers, BEOs, and parents from 22 schools across four blocks in the two districts. A report will be prepared and sent to the government body based on the findings. He said these programmes were directly or indirectly related to the objectives of the National Education Policy.

NITI Aayog has allocated Rs 2,14,000 to the university for the study. VC Ajmer Singh Malik congratulated Professor Surendra on the achievement and emphasised the importance of such studies in sustainable development. He expressed hope that the study would provide valuable feedback and suggestions on the implementation of government schemes to the NITI Aayog.
