Residents of Ansal Town, Sector 20, Jagadhri, are forced to live in pathetic conditions in the complete absence of civic amenities. They are compelled to pay exorbitant maintenance charges, while no maintenance work is carried out in the town. The roads are pothole-ridden and several manholes are lying open. The streetlights are non-functional and stray dogs rule the roost. The authorities concerned should pay heed. —NK Dhiman, Jagadhri

Terrible infrastructure in HSVP sectors

Residents of HSVP sectors in Rohtak continue to grapple with potholed and broken roads, stray dogs, monkeys and stray cattle, ill-maintained parks and a poor sewerage system. The authorities concerned should ensure the provision of at least the basic civic amenities in the sectors developed by HSVP. —Arvind Kumar, Rohtak

Poor sanitation at Gandhi camp

Gross insanitary conditions prevail in the Gandhi camp locality in Rohtak, especially in the area along the old railway line under the elevated track. Some irresponsible residents continue to dump garbage and debris along the old track and garbage collectors do not remove the waste on the tracks. The municipal authorities should take note of the issue and address it as early as possible. —Gulshan Arora, Rohtak
