Haryana Mines and Geology Minister Krishan Lal Panwar has said currently, no mining activities or water exploitation are taking place at Ramalwas village in Charkhi Dadri district. He said instructions had been issued to officials concerned to prioritise and address any issues raised by local villagers without delay.

The minister assured that villagers could directly communicate with him or department officials at any time regarding their concerns, and the issues would be resolved promptly.

He said villagers had been protesting for several days at the closed mine and had complained that the mine owner was conducting illegal mining activities and exploiting water resources, leading to a decrease in the groundwater level in the area.

Taking cognisance of the complaint, the department took immediate action and suspended operations at the mine on October 28, 2024. Furthermore, the lease for the mine was also terminated on December 11, 2024.
