No promise fulfilled by BJP govt in 100 days: Deepender
Congress MP from Rohtak Deepender Singh Hooda has stated that the BJP government of Haryana has failed to fulfill the promises made to the people of the state even 100 days after its installation.
"The BJP leadership had promised pension for women and provision of LPG cylinders at the rate of Rs 500 per cylinder after the formation of their government in the state. However, 100 days have passed since the formation of the BJP regime, but the women are awaiting their pension and cheaper cooking gas," said the Congress leader.
Deepender Hooda remarked that the BJP government did not have even a single achievement to show in the first 100 days of its current tenure. "The farmers are still awaiting the provision of minimum support price (MSP) for their crops. The BJP may have formed the government by misleading the people in the name of caste and religion etc, but the public sentiment is still in favour of the Congress," the MP asserted.
He said the functioning of the state government indicated that the bureaucrats did not consider Nayab Singh Saini as the Chief Minister as the postings and transfers were being done from somewhere else.
"The officers have realised that the Chief Minister's office is not the real power centre," quipped Deepender. He pointed out that the BJP leadership had promised that the workers employed through the Haryana Kaushal Rozgar Nigam (HKRN) would not be laid off, but that commitment is not being honoured by the government. The Congress MP paid homage to late leaders Dr BR Ambedkar and Karpoori Thakur and asked the people to follow their ideals. Congress MLAs Geeta Bhukkal, Bharat Bhushan Batra, Shakuntala Khatak and other local leaders of the party were also present.
