Waterlogged lane a menace for Faridabad commuters
A service lane of National Highway-19 is in an urgent need of repairs. The long stretch that gives access to the Bata flyover from the Ballabhgarh side often remains waterlogged due to a leaking sewerage line. It is causing inconvenience to thousands of commuters and posing a risk of accidents. Ten years ago, a mishap caused due to a pothole claimed the life of a three-year-old. But it seems that the authorities failed to learn their lesson as the problem has not been resolved in the past decade. Ajay Chaudhary, Faridabad
Repair road from Gurugram to Pataudi at earliest
THE main road leading from Gurugram to Pataudi is in a pathetic state. The stretch of road from Umang Bhardwaj Chowk to Garhi Harsaru is dotted with deep potholes. Several complaints have been submitted to the authorities, but it has not undertaken the road’s repair work so far. This exposes the lackadaisical approach of the civic body. The government should direct the department concerned to repair it at the earliest to avert accidents. Dharmbir Sharma, Pataudi road
