Now, patients to get physiotherapy facility at OPD block of Rohtak PGI

Patients visiting the Ch Ranbir Singh OPD block of the PGIMS, Rohtak, no longer need to go to the old building for physiotherapy services. They can now avail of physiotherapy directly at the orthopaedics block of the OPD. To provide high-quality therapy, two state-of-the-art physiotherapy machines have been installed in the new facility.

Dr HK Aggarwal, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Health Sciences, Rohtak (UHSR), inaugurated the facility on Tuesday. PGIMS Director Dr SK Singhal, Medical Superintendent Dr Kundan Mittal and head of the orthopaedics department Dr Roop Singh were also present on the occasion.

“PGIMS Rohtak aims at providing quality physiotherapy services to as many patients as possible so they can recover quickly and return to normal life. The new physiotherapy OPD is a significant step in this direction and will greatly benefit patients. Physiotherapy plays a crucial role in healing without medication, making it especially important for patient care,” said Dr Aggarwal.

Dr Singhal emphasised that expanding physiotherapy services at the institution is a top priority. He noted that the new facility would help patients recover faster and resume a normal lifestyle.

Dr Mittal highlighted physiotherapy’s vital role in managing various illnesses and injuries. “It not only helps reduce pain but also assists patients in regaining physical strength and functionality,” he said. “Through physiotherapy, patients can return to their normal routines and daily activities.” Dr Roop Singh added that the integration of physiotherapy services within the orthopaedics OPD is a major step forward, enabling access to high-quality therapy under one roof.

Dr Ashish Devgan, Dr Hemant Mor, Dr Bijender Dhillon, Dr Ajay Sheoran, Dr Umesh Yadav, Dr Bhavna, Dr Poonam, Dr Dimple, and Vikram Yadav were among those present at the inauguration.
