Justice SK Mittal, chairperson, Haryana Human Rights Commission (HHRC), on Saturday visited the state’s lone Nari Niketan in Karnal city and the Place of Safety in Madhuban.

He listened to the grievances of the inmates and reviewed the facilities being extended to them. Mittal also sought suggestions from the inmates for the betterment of these institutions.

Interacting with mediapersons, Mittal said safety and observation homes would be established at each district headquarters. “We inspected the Nari Niketan in Karnal city and the Place of Safety in Madhuban. We interacted with inmates and are satisfied with the facilities being given to them,” he added.
