At a meeting of the River Rejuvenation Committee (RRC), the Member Secretary, Pradeep Singh, reviewed the working of the SESTF and said casual approach shall be viewed seriously on part of the execution agencies.

As per sources, it came to the fore that most ROs and SESTF had not sent information on the required performa.

He also said the achievements/failure of the concerned period should be reported, along with names of defaulting officers, and it must be pointed out what was expected from them and what they had not done.

He said the NGT had given specific directions for writing the 'responsibility' in ACRs of the officers concerned and also to take action against violators and those shielding them.

He also directed the officials to check all points from where effluents as well as untreated sewage were being discharged in the Yamuna.
