Officials to use drones to monitor Brij Mandal Jalabhishek Yatra at Sohna

In view of the Brij Mandal Jalabhishek Yatra to be held in Nuh on Monday, the Gurugram Police are on their toes. The police have started preparations to ensure security arrangements during this yatra in Sohna area of the district adjacent to Nuh.

To keep strict vigil on procession

The Nuh administration, too, will take several measures to ensure a peaceful celebration of this year’s yatra, including keeping a strict vigil on the procession through drones. A committee has been formed of both Hindu and Muslim members for this purpose.

Along with a practice session for monitoring the yatra with drones in Sohna on Saturday, Abhilaksh Joshi, ACP, Sohna also held a meeting of police station incharges and public representatives and gave necessary instructions. The ACP appealed to people to perform “jalabhishek” in their nearest temple.

Through this meeting, everyone was briefed regarding the yatra to be held on July 22 in Nuh. During this time, information regarding the yatra was also obtained. People were told not to believe in any rumour blindly during the Jalabhishek Yatra and keep an eye on miscreants.

During the exercise to monitor the city through drones, ACP Joshi issued instructions to police personnel to keep an eye on every activity and to check vehicles properly during the yatra. The district administration and police are making efforts to prevent a situation like last year, when six persons were killed and several were injured after communal clashes broke out in Nuh, Sohna and Gurugram. Nuh SP Vijay Pratap Singh said police personnel would be deployed in adequate numbers along the procession route. “We will keep a close eye on everyone through drones,” he said.
