Officials told to work on holidays ahead of Lado Laxmi Yojana launch on Sept 25

As part of the preparations for the launch of the ‘Deen Dayal Lado Laxmi Yojana’ on September 25, officials from the Citizen Resources Information Department (CRID), Social Welfare and Health Departments will work on public holidays on September 22 and 23.

Uday Singh, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Zila Parishad, said the Revenue Department had also been instructed to process all online domicile certificate applications on the same day they were received. This task would continue uninterruptedly, including on holidays, until September 24.

“The state government is set to launch the Deen Dayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana on September 25, through a state-wide programme. In connection with the preparations, G Anupama, Additional Chief Secretary (Social Justice and Empowerment), and Sudhir Rajpal, Additional Chief Secretary (Health), today conducted video conference with district officials to review the scheme’s preparations and issued some necessary instructions,” said Singh.

He stated that this scheme aims to ensure the overall well-being of women in the state by providing them with financial security and encouraging social participation.

“Under this scheme, eligible women beneficiaries will receive financial assistance of Rs 2,100 per month. This amount will be directly transferred to the beneficiaries' bank accounts through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system. On a trial basis, all employees of the Social Welfare Department are currently going into the field to register beneficiaries under the scheme,” said the CEO.

He emphasised that the registration process is entirely free. To be eligible, a woman must be at least 23 years old, with a verified family income not exceeding Rs one lakh annually. She or her husband (if married into Haryana) must have been residents of the state for the past 15 years.
