170 bus permits sanctioned

Gurugram: The Haryana Transport Department has sanctioned 170 new bus permits to be issued to private companies/individuals for plying on various routes in the Gurugram district. A notification in this regard has been issued by the department’s principal secretary Navdeep Singh Virk on Monday. TNS

Woman duped of Rs 35 lakh

Gurugram: Unidentified cyber fraudsters duped a woman of around Rs 35 lakh on the pretext of investing in the stock market. Following a complaint by Sakshi Jain, resident of DLF Phase 2, an FIR was registered at the cyber crime east police station.

Woman’s body found in sack

Hisar: A sack containing a woman’s body was found in a minor canal near Baas village in Hisar district today. Some villagers informed the cops about the sack, following which a police team reached the spot. Baas police station in-charge Pavitra Kumar said that a body of nearly 35-year-old woman was found inside the sack. The cases of missing women registered in the past few days in the area are being traced in order to identify the body, he added. TNS

Idols found broken

Yamunanagar: Idols of gods and goddesses were found broken at three temples in Nangal Choudhary area here on Tuesday. The police have started an investigation after registering a case, but no clue about the unidentified perpetrators was found till filing of the story. The incident came to light today when Ramesh Saini, a social activist, reported it to the police on receiving information about the broken idols. As per complaints, idols were found broken at Chamatkari Balaji Temple, Sai Temple and Jeen Mata Temple. Nangal Choudhry police station SHO Ravinder said the footage of the CCTV cameras installed near the temples was being checked to find out the perpetrators. TNS
