Hisar: A one-month induction training course session was completed at Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University (HAU) on Wednesday. It was organised by the Directorate of Human Resource Management The Vice-Chancellor of Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (LUVAS), Prof Vinod Kumar Verma, was the chief guest while the VC of Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University (HAU), Prof BR Kamboj, presided over the programme. The course was attended by 40 recently appointed faculty members from Haryana Agricultural University, Maharana Pratap Horticulture University, Karnal and LUVAS, Hisar.

Ambulance for medical college

Hisar: State Bank of India (SBI) donated an ambulance to Maharaja Agrasen Medical College in Agroha town of Hisar on Wednesday. Vinod Jaiswal, chief general manager, Chandigarh Ccircle, State Bank of India, said SBI had always been dedicated in the service of the nation and would continue to do so in future also. The director of the Medical College, Dr Alka Chhabra, and the administrative director, Dr Ashutosh Sharma, were present on the occasion. Jaiswal said State Bank of India had always been dedicating some part of its profits to social service.

Vijay Diwas at Pratap public school

Karnal: To Commemorate the sacrifices of Kargil martyrs, Vijay Kargil Diwas was celebrated on July 26 at Pratap Public School, Sector 6, Karnal. The chief guest, Col Nixon Harnal (Administrative Officer, 7th Haryana NCC Battalion) along with the members of the management (Ajay Bhatia, Poonam Bhatia and Deepika Bhatia) and Principal Pooja Walia Mann, was given a rousing reception by the cadets of the NCC. Pooja Walia Mann lauded the efforts of the cadets and spoke on the significance of Sapling Plantation.

Tributes paid to Kargil martyrs

Faridabad: To commemorate the 23rd anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas, JC Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, organised a programme to pay tribute to soldiers who fought the Kargil War and laid their lives. According to a university official, students and staff assembled at the University War Heroes’ Memorial and paid floral tributes to the war heroes. The programme was organised by the NSS Cell of the university, which was coordinated by Director Youth Welfare Dr Pradeep Dimri.
