One more arrested in Army job fraud case

The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Bhiwani police has arrested one more accused, Paramjeet Singh, in the fake Army recruitment case. He used to operate as a middleman to lure youth on the pretext of recruitment into the Army.

The complainant, Nafe Singh, filed a complaint with the Industrial Area police station in Bhiwani recently alleging that he had paid Rs 1.31 crore to Shiv Prem Kumar, who claims to be a Colonel in the Army. The police had already arrested Shiv Prem Kumar and four others in the case.

The complainant said Sharma had promised to get youths recruited into the Army and he paid the amount for getting 30 youths recruited. Later, he realised that he had been duped on the false promise of jobs. Acting on the complaint, the police registered a case under relevant sections in the case. The complainant said that the accused had demanded Rs 6 lakh per candidate for recruitment.
