OSDAV students shine at Olympiad

Kaithal: Students of OSDAV School here gave a commendable performance at the ICT and Maths Olympiad organised by DAV College Managing Committee. It was organised in two groups -junior group for Class VI to VIII and senior group for Class IX to XII. Jashan, a student of Class VIII, secured first position at the All-India DAV level at the ICT Olympiad junior group. He had qualified for Maths Olympiad too. Seven other students were certified for securing above 80 per cent in the same group. In senior group ICT Olympiad, four students -Gaurav, Ishika, Kunal, Sumnit secured third position and one got certified in above 80 per cent category. Principal-cum-Regional Officer lauded and blessed the students for their efforts.

Interaction session on UGC-NET exam

Yamunanagar: An interaction session on UGC-NET examination was organised here at Mukand Lal National College Department of English. Assistant Professor of English Rahul Singh gave useful tips to NET aspirants of the college. He told the students to make a fix routine and to prepare self-notes for the preparation of the exam. He also suggested some books to students who also clarified their doubts with him. The interactive session proved to be beneficial for the students.

Faculty development programme

Sonepat: A four-day international faculty development programme jointly organised by the Technical Education Department of Haryana and British Deputy High Commission at DCR University of Science and Technology here concluded. Kadi Sarva University Trust of Gujarat Chairman Dr Vallabh Patel, university’s Vice-Chancellor Prof Rajindrakumar Anayath, Technical Education Department Director Dr KK Kataria and technical experts from United Kingdom D Kirvin and Foster Joseph, addressed the participants -teachers and students from various universities and technical colleges. The VC said the programme would help in globalisation of the institutes and the university would send its teachers to UK for gaining expertise in teaching.

CLASS VIII STUDENT Tanuj awarded

Ambala: Tanuj Saini, a Class VIII of Shivalik International Public School, Naraingarh, has been awarded with a trophy for his performance at the National Analytical Aptitude Test (NAAT) by National Industrial Security Academy (NISA). He was awarded at a national award ceremony of the NAAT organised by NISA at the Confederation of Indian Industry, Sector 31, Chandigarh, to celebrate the achievements of meritorious students in the final round of the NAAT assessment. Principal Anuradha Bhatia has also been presented an award of honour. The principal and other staff members congratulated Tanuj for achievement.
