According to the police, Ravi, a resident of NIT 3 area of Faridabad, used to work as the driver of a school van. On returning from duty, he had parked the van at Kalyanpuri Chowk near his house on Tuesday night. When he went to clean his van the next morning, he saw that the side lock of the vehicle was broken. He was shocked to see an unidentified man lying in an unconscious state inside the van.

He called the police but the man continued sleeping without any fear. Finally, he was woken up by the police and arrested. Drugs were also recovered from his possession.

A police officer said the suspect revealed during questioning that his name was Dalip (26) and he was a resident of Kalyanpuri in Delhi. He said he had come to steal the van and had even broken the side lock of the vehicle. The car also had a gear lock and while trying to break it in an intoxicated state, he fell asleep, he added.

Following the complaint by Ravi, an FIR was registered against Dalip under Section 379 of the IPC at SGM Nagar, Faridabad, on Wednesday and the suspect was arrested.
