Over 17k farmers in Rohtak register their land on govt portal
As many as 17,849 farmers in the district have so far registered 1,13,247 acres for their rabi crops on the “Meri Fasal-Mera Byora”, a government portal. The registration is mandatory to avail benefits of minimum support price (MSP) while selling the crops and some government schemes.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Narendra Kumar said the farmers who had not yet registered their crops on the portal must register their crops before January 20 as it was the last date for the purpose.
“Only the farmers who have registered their land on the portal can sell their crops at MSP in the market and avail the benefits of other government schemes as well. The ‘Meri Fasal-Mera Byora’ is an important scheme of the state government, under which the farmers have to register their land details, bank account number and details of the sown crop on the portal,” he added.
The DC further said the farmers who are unable to sow crops on their land due to some reason must also register vacant land. Various schemes run by the government are also being implemented through the portal. The farmers who do not register on the ‘Meri Fasal-Mera Byora portal’ would not be able to get the benefit of various schemes run by the Agriculture Department, he added.
Surendra Singh, Deputy Director (Agriculture), informed the farmers can also register their crops through the ‘Meri Fasal-Mera Byora’ App from their mobile. Apart from this, the farmers can also register their crops by visiting the online fasal.haryana.gov.in portal and by visiting the nearest Atal Seva Kendra, he added.
