Haryana Police on Wednesday booked over 2,000 unidentified people for ‘violence’ during the farmers’ tractor march in Haryana’s Palwal district on Tuesday.

A clash between the protesting farmers and police personnel took place near Softa village after the latter attempted to stop the farmers’ tractors from moving towards the Delhi border.

A case under various sections including 186, 332,307,457 and 8 B of National Highway Act has been registered by the police at Gadpuri police station against unidentified persons, said a police official.

No arrests have been made so far.
