Over 2,770 complaints resolved at Samadhan Shivirs in K'shetra
The district-level Samadhan Shivir, being held to resolve public grievances, has witnessed the resolution of over 2,770 complaints since June last year, while nearly 600 complaints were pending with different departments in Kurukshetra.
As per the district administration, following the directions of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, Samadhan Shivir is held on every working day to resolve the complaints of residents. Since June, over 4,100 complaints have been received, of which 2,775 have been resolved. Of the total complaints, 604 are with different departments for resolution, while 709 were rejected. Besides these, 10 complaints were re-opened for resolution.
A district official said that Samadhan Shivir is being held in which residents can raise their concerns with the administration, and the administration is committed to resolving their problems. These camps are not only a strong medium of communication between the administration and the general public but also relieve citizens from repeatedly visiting government offices to redress their problems.
Kurukshetra Deputy Commissioner Neha Singh said, “With the aim of quick resolution of public problems and bringing the administration closer to the public, the district administration is organising Samadhan Shivirs on every working day. Officers from various departments remain present during the Samadhan Shivir so that grievances are resolved on the spot. Directions have been issued to officials to ensure that the complaints are resolved on priority so that the complainants don’t have to make rounds again and again.”
