Over 30,000 cases settled in National Lok Adalat in Sirsa

The Lok Adalat was held at the district courts in Sirsa as well as at the sub-divisional courts in Dabwali and Ellenabad, in accordance with directions issued by the Haryana State Legal Services Authority.
Pravesh Singla, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, and Chief Judicial Magistrate, said cases from all courts were taken up for settlement. These included cheque bounce cases, bank recovery matters, motor accident claims, domestic disputes, and civil and criminal cases relating to electricity and water services.
Out of a total of 32,699 pending cases listed for settlement, 30,800 were resolved during the Lok Adalat. An amount exceeding Rs 78.14 lakh was settled through mutual agreements between the parties, Singla said.
