The CIA-1 unit of the Kurukshetra police arrested a man and seized 4.30 kg poppy husk from his possession on Sunday. The accused was identified as Jaspal.

A police spokesman said they had received information that poppy husk had been kept in huge quantities in the basement of a dhaba, and that it was being sold to drug addicts and truck drivers at higher prices. He said on receiving the information, a raid was carried out and nearly 4.30 kg poppy husk was seized.
