Hisar, March 7
With the farmers’ organisation Pagri Sambhal Jatta Kisan Sangharsh Samiti set to mobilise its activists for the foot march to Delhi from Hisar tomorrow, the district administration has been working overtime to stop them from moving ahead.
The farmers’ body which has a significant following and has successfully carried out agitations on the demand of compensation to farmers has been activating hundreds of its workers for tomorrow’s march to Delhi for many days.
The Samiti leaders said they had announced to march on foot in compliance with the wishes of CM Manohar Lal Khattar, who has insisted that instead of riding on tractors, the farmers should march on foot or via public transport. Sandeep Siwach, leader of the Pagri Sambhal Jatta, said that they would gather at the Krantimaan park in Hisar and start a foot march to Delhi tomorrow morning.
