A panchayat of all communities was organised at Yadav Dharamshala here with an aim to unanimously select such candidates from all four Assembly constituencies of the district who can strongly raise their voice in the Assembly.

The panchayat was presided over by former Panchayat Samiti member Santara Devi Sundarh while ex-MLA Rao Bahadur Singh played a vital role in organising the event. The speakers raised the issue of backwardness of the region.

“This panchayat is aimed at taking important steps for the area’s development. People from different areas attended the panchayat and expressed their views. It was unanimously decided to form an 11-member panel, which will select suitable candidates for all Assembly constituencies in the district,” said Bahadur.
