Vidhan Sabha Speaker Gian Chand Gupta has nominated MLA Sudhir Singla as the chairperson of the panel of privileges and Narender Gupta, also an MLA, as member of the panel for the local bodies and panchayati raj institutions.

As per a notification issued by the Vidhan Sabha, MLA Neeraj Sharma has been appointed the member of the local bodies and panchayati raj institutions panel and MLA Shailly as the member of the public health, irrigation, power and public works (B&R) panel. — TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
