Dahiya said the government had a clear vision to make the city orderly and clean, and now the time had come to initiate action against those who were damaging the city’s order by encroaching it. If the place was encroached upon by putting gravel and keeping containers, it would be seized, and a case would be registered against them under Section 133.

Vij said the campaign was being launched for public welfare. Several complaints regarding illegal encroachment in Sector 25 Part 2, and Transport Nagar had been received. The target of the government and the district administration was to remove encroachment from these areas at the earliest and clean these.

The drive is mandatory to make the city clean, orderly, and beautiful, and the people who had encroached on the parking area or public place would be removed from there. “We will also ensure that these areas are not encroached upon again, Vij said.

Dahiya said all preparations have been completed, as earthmoving machines and cranes would begin the anti-encroachment drive very soon. If containers or illegal goods were found and these would be seized, he said. The drive would continue till all illegal ‘Jhuggis’ or encroachments were removed, the Deputy Commissioner said.

The Deputy Commissioner strictly directed the officials of the Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) and HSIIDC that there should be no negligence in the drive and also directed them to work seriously on it. SDM Mandeep, District Attorney Rajesh Chaudhary, Gulshan, AGM, Satnarain Kuhar, and other officers were present during the meeting.
