Panipat residents demand strict action against terrorists
Enraged over the terrorist attack on innocent tourists in Pahalgam in Kashmir, residents in Panipat took out a march on Friday. They paid tributes to the victims who died in the incident and demanded strict action against the terrorists and Pakistan.
Hundreds of Muslims after offering the Namaz on Friday at Shah Vilayat Shah mosque came out on the Sanoli road and held a protest against Pakistan. The protesters condemned the terrorist attack and demanded strict action against the terrorists.
Members of various social, religious and political parties gathered at ‘Samvidhan Chowk’ on NH-44 near Red Light Chowk and paid tributes to those killed in Pahalgam. The members of IMA also paid tributes by lighting candles. Former MP Sanjay Bhatia said it was wrong to name Pakistan’s terrorism as ‘jehadi’. It was a very sensitive matter and the Centre was taking it very seriously. Soon, Pakistan would bow down in front of India.
The Centre was committed to giving a suitable reply to Pakistan over this cowardly terror attack, Bhatia said. Mayor Komal Saini, BJP district president Dushyant Bhatt, BJP leader Sanjay Aggarwal, Dr Jagjeet Ahuja, Darshan Lal Wadhwa, Krishan Rewri, Ramesh Matta appealed to the Prime Minister that Pakistan must be taught a lesson, which encouraged terrorism against India.
They also demanded strict action so that such an incident was not repeated in future. The members of Sarv Samaj gathered at the Mini-Secretariat and raised slogans against Pakistan. Former Mayor Bhupinder Singh, his daughter and former Mayor Avneet Kaur, Harcharan Singh Dhammu, along with scores of people of various social organisations, condemned the terror attack and paid tributes to those killed at Pahalgam. Former Mayor Avneet Kaur termed it a cowardly attack on the innocent people and demanded strict action against the perpetrators.
