Panipat woman admitted to PGIMS stable

A Panipat-based woman who was admitted to Rohtak PGIMS after being found positive for Covid is in a stable condition and is under observation at the isolation ward.

As per official sources, the woman is under oral medication and has not required any surgical/procedural intervention so far. “She takes simple food and follows a normal routine. She is not allowed to meet her family members, but she talks to them on the phone. Her fresh samples will be sent for testing within a few days as per the protocol,” said Dr Manjunath, a consultant at the Department of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine.

“When the woman was admitted to the isolation ward and tested positive for Covid, she was restless and anxious. She was also worried for her children. But we, our nurses and other paramedics kept on guiding her. She also noticed herself that she does not have any complications and gradually regained calmness and composure,” he said. The brother, son and daughter of the woman had tested negative for the disease, the doctor said, adding their fresh samples would also be sent for testing. Samples of as many as 34 patients from different districts of Haryana were tested for Covid at the microbiology laboratory of the Rohtak PGIMS today, and as per official sources, all of these tested negative.
