Former minister and BJP leader Karan Dev Kamboj, speaking at an event held under the ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ in Pansara village, said the residents would soon get respite from the problem of water overflowing from the village pond as the Municipal Corporation Yamunanagar-Jagadhri (MCYJ) had been directed to construct an intermediate pumping station (IPS) there.

The village is a part of Ward No. 12 of MCYJ and residents had been complaining, and seeking a solution to the problem of overflowing since a few months. “An intermediate pumping station (IPS) will be built by the MC for draining excess water. With the help of the IPS, the water of the pond will be pumped and channelled into sewer lines,” he said.

During the programme, he also said that the remaining construction work of the community centre of the village would be completed soon.

In another programme, held at Daulatpur village, under the sankalp yatra the residents of Pansara and other villages were also informed about the various welfare schemes launched by the Centre and Haryana Government.

He said that pension cards, BPL ration cards and Ayushman Bharat cards would be made for beneficiaries on the spot.

“The government has launched many schemes and the benefits are being availed by residents across the state without any discrimination. The government is trying to transform the youth of this country into employment providers from employment seekers. For this, the Prime Minister launched the Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Scheme on his birthday to make young people self-reliant,” said Karan Dev Kamboj.

Deputy MC commissioner VP Yadav, municipal engineers Kuldeep Yadav and Rajesh Sharma and chief sanitary inspector Sunil Dutt were present during the event.
