Panwar pledges justice in Bhiwani girl’s suicide case
Reacting to the suicide of a final-year BA student in Loharu area of Bhiwani district, Haryana Development and Panchayat Minister Krishan Lal Panwar assured that the state government would ensure justice for the girl's family and ensure punishment for those responsible.
Panwar was speaking with mediapersons at the BJP’s state headquarters ‘Mangal Kamal’ on Wednesday. He stated that the girl had taken her own life on the night of December 24 after being denied permission to appear for her exams by the college administration over unpaid fees. The college is run by relatives of a Congress MLA and Panwar demanded action against the MLA from the Congress high command.
"The Congress is making baseless allegations against the BJP, calling it anti-Dalit. But the state government will provide justice to the victim's family and no facts will be concealed," Panwar asserted.
The minister further highlighted that the BJP government was providing safe travel facilities to girl students via state-run buses to ensure they could easily commute between their villages and colleges/universities. He emphasised that the state government had implemented several measures to ensure that girls in Haryana have access to higher education without any difficulties.
