The cultural heritage of Haryana, along with glimpses of a fast modernising state, will be on display in the state's tableau this Republic Day.

Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Thursday said the tableau would also depict the divine message of Shrimad Bhagavad Gita delivered by Lord Krishna in the land of Haryana, alongside a portrayal of the prosperous and developing Haryana.

"The tableau, based on the theme ‘Prosperous Haryana: Heritage and Development’, will showcase, on the one hand, our rich cultural heritage in the form of the knowledge of Shrimad Bhagavad Gita, while on the other hand, it will highlight a farmer using IT to fill details of his crops sown and check prices, as well as Haryana’s emergence as a sports powerhouse," he said.

Saini added that Haryana's paralympic medallists Nitesh Kumar (badminton), Harvinder Singh (shooting), Yogesh Kathuniya (discus throw), Aruna Tanwar (taekwondo), and Tarun Dillo (badminton) would be the focal point on the tableau and would serve as a source of inspiration for youth across the country.

"Additionally, the last portion of the tableau depicts the cluster of the high-rise buildings of Gurugram, which is a unique model of public-private partnership (PPP) urbanisation. Gurugram is one of the leading IT software exporters in the country. This tableau has been prepared by the Department of Information, Public Relations and Languages Haryana," said the CM.
