The long-awaited multi-level vehicle parking project at the HUDA Complex in Rohtak city, which had been stalled for several months, is now back on track. The project is being developed under the public-private partnership (PPP) model and is expected to be completed by March next year.

Anand Kumar Sharma, Commissioner of the Rohtak Municipal Corporation, inspected the ongoing construction work at the site on Monday. During the inspection, he instructed officials and the contractor to expedite the work to ensure timely completion.

“The parking facility will greatly benefit visitors to areas such as Shantmai Chowk, HUDA Complex, Palika Bazaar, Quila Road, Gohana Adda market, and the Furniture Market. It will also help reduce the number of vehicles parked on the main roads, easing traffic congestion,” said Sharma.

Sharma noted that the project had faced prolonged delays due to rainfall and other logistical issues. However, construction has now resumed, and the agency concerned has been directed to accelerate the pace of work.
