Union Minister and influential Ahir leader Rao Inderjit Singh today said Manohar Lal Khattar would not have become the CM twice if south Haryana had not supported the BJP in the 2019 and 2014 elections.

Rao was interacting with the mediapersons here before the nomination filing of BJP candidate Laxman Singh Yadav. Yadav is a sitting MLA from Kosli but this time, the BJP has fielded him from Rewari.

On being asked about his wish to become the CM of Haryana, Rao said, “This is not my wish. People wish that I should become the CM.” He further said Union Minister Amit Shah had declared Nayab Singh Saini as the CM, so they should follow the decision of the party leadership.

“The party is yet to declare four seats of Ahirwal and three seats of Mewat. We will support everyone and try to remove differences, if any, among the party leaders. The party is supreme,” he said.
