Persons who have been occupying properties located in the lal dora and "Abadi Deh" areas of the Municipal Corporation (MC), Yamunanagar-Jagadhri, for 10 years, will start getting property certificates from December 18.

By getting the certificates, they will get ownership rights of their properties.

The list of the property holders of the lal dora and the "Abadi Deh" areas has been pasted by the MC at public places in the presence of former councillors, committee chairman of the lal dora and Abadi Deh Committee and prominent people of the wards concerned.

If any property holder has any objection to the names mentioned in the list, he can register his objection in the MC office within seven days.

Municipal Commissioner Ayush Sinha said he had issued instructions to all assistant engineers and member secretaries of the committee to start the work of distributing property certificates from December 18.

“The MCYJ has decided that the property certificates will be distributed in Mamidi and Khedi Rangdan villages on December 18 and in Bhatauli village on December 23,” said Sinha.

The Municipal Commissioner directed all property tax checkers to ensure that the lists of people occupying properties in the lal dora and "Abadi Deh" areas in their respective areas for the last 10 years was made available to the member secretary of the Lal Dora Committee and assistant engineers and junior engineers .

As per available information, the MC had formed a committee of former councillors and MC officials in every ward.

The chairman of each committee has been made a former councillor of that ward.

These committees will hold meetings or programmes in their respective wards and take documents related to the owners and occupants of the properties located in the lal dora and "Abadi Deh" and give them ownership rights and property certificates.

Earlier, in all wards, the list of properties located in the lal dora and "Abadi Deh" had been pasted in public places along with the names of their owners. Apart from this, the list has been published on the MC site.

Earlier, the time to register an objection to take the ownership of the property mentioned in the list was within 15 days. But now, the time has been reduced to seven days.
