Rohtak, December 30
In a significant development, the Medical Assessment and Rating Board (MARB) of the National Medical Commission (NMC) has approved the proposal of the Pt Bhagwat Dayal Sharma Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (PGIMS) for introducing the Doctorate of Medicine (cardiology) course with two intakes.
The PGIMS has become the first medical institute across the state to have the course. Dr Kuldeep Singh Lallar, head, department of cardiology in the PGIMS, said the starting of the DM course would not only enhance the number of cardiac specialists in the state but also provide a big relief to heart patients coming to the institute. — TNS
