Panchkula, July 6
Health Minister Anil Vij today suspended Dhanesh Adlakha, Sohan Lal Kansal and Raj Kumar Verma from exercising the powers as president, vice-president and Registrar of the Haryana State Pharmacy Council (HSPC), respectively.
The order was issued after a corruption case was registered against the three by the state Vigilance Bureau.
Meanwhile, Yogesh Mehta, Additional Secretary Health, has been directed to supervise the day-to-day functioning of the council. Deepak Malik, Deputy Director (Pharmacy), will function as the Registrar of the council in addition to his present duties.
Adalkha and Kansal had hired their acquaintances in the council, who used to share office information.
KC Goyal, former member of the council, said the HC ordered removal of the these old employees on July 25, 2019. The state government had not given the approval regarding the retention of these employees, but they continued to work illegally and were involved in corrupt activities.
