The tourist hub would be developed by the HSHDB. Apart from boating, there would be a wide range of facilities such as restaurants, parks and museums for visitors.

The state government is already developing Adi Badri in Yamunangar as a tourist destination.

It was decided to develop five-six water bodies in Yamunangar and Kurukshetra districts for the storage of excess water during the rainy season, so that the same could be utilised for irrigation and related purposes. This would not only boost tourism activities in the area, but would also improve the underground water level in Kurukshetra, Pehowa, Ladwa and Radaur.

It was informed that the Sarawati river project would help overcome the problem of dark zones in Yamunanagar, Karnal and Kaithal districts.
